These are links to photos taken while doing maintenance on the car. Not exactly ‘how-to’s’ but they are very useful when re-assembling your car or if you are wondering if yours was upgraded aka molested. As far as I have been able to tell, my car is mostly original with only the points, master cylinder and now the brake balanced switch being non-Ferrari.
Suspension Rebuild This winter I completely rebuilt the suspension, rear hubs, brake calipers, discs, etc. The car was stripped in December 2002 but a terribly cold Jan-March meant a lot of work crammed into a short period of time. Rocco (Rock’s Auto) was instrumental in getting the original plating colours. Rocco and Peter also re-painted the wishbones, springs as well as rebuilding the calipers and discs. At 6AM the day of the Briars Concours, Rocco came in to the shop so I could get my car finished. Great service and dedication!
Wiper Mechanism I took this out and cleaned it up, re-lubed etc. in the hopes of getting the wipers to move across the windshield at a reasonable pace. A lot of work with trivial gains. But it was ‘fun’.
Carb Details One of my early forrays into working on my car. A cheap digital camera means the pictures are less than clear.
Front Header Work I am now an expert at removing the front header. After 2 repairs, I replaced it with a new one from Superformance in the UK.
