Say Gerrit,

I just now Googled my way onto your 308GT4 site, and it's FANTASTIC. I don't own a Dino, yet, but your wealth of information is inspiring me towards one. Thank you! --Paul, Jefferson, Maine

I just picked up my 308gt4 and promise I will send you some photos soon, Im in scotland, mine is a 78 model with 36000 miles on clock but started it's life in hong kong! so she has travelled! Anyway, I love it, I think the motor may need a tune though but however it is lovely and great to visit this website, thanks a lot;-)

Hello,
I've found a 308GT4 under-going a full restoration, I like the car for its 2+2 and unique styling from the 70s. What appeals to me is the work is local (5 minutes away). I have little time to keep the car in top shape, so local service and knowledge is critical to me.
What scares me is what will the final product be like? And what am I getting myself into?

It's a '75 and I've been told that 1) '75 cars had ferrari badges and 2) the cars left the factory with filler due to the mixed curves & sharp lines. The car is currently in bare mental with spots of filler. The quality of the resto appears high (I've had similar experience with Porsche).

I'm new to this car and admit I have a lot of learning to do, but can you confirm these 2 comments are true?

Thank-you

Big hello from 308gt4.com to dino308gt4.com. Had my car since 1991 as you can see from my site, done a lot of work on car to say the least. After winning its class in the FOC Concours in 1999 not done to much cleaning as the car was purchased & has always been used as a track day car. I guess by now must have done more than 150 days & quite a few evenings as well.
Nice site, must update mine one of these days.
Cheers Colin.

Very informative. Nice to see you're so pationate about your GT4. I own a 355 & 328 GTS that I use on the road as much as possible but I recently bought a GT4 race car. I've entered the FOC UK classic race series & competed in the last race at Oulton Park. It was fantastic, the car was brilliant & I beat the other two GT4's entered. Can't wait till next year. I don't know if you've visited the FOC UK website yet, it's definately worth a look. www.ferrariownersclub.co.uik .
Cheers for now, Nick.

Gerrit,

Thanks for the useful information, in particular the wiring diagram, as my co-owner is playing hunt the revcounter lead, which appears to be brown with black stripe from what I can see in your file. We hope to use the car this coming year for some light competition, though meantime I have the remains of another gt4 rolling chassis to eventually build as a 206 S replica with an in-line 206 engine and fibreglass body, sadly time is in short supply.

Best wishes from a very wet England, Neale
